Chapter 117: Resolution—The Ultimate Humiliation (Part Two) Today marks the final update.

“Not a chance!” Pompey roared like a furious lion. Gone was the careless, indolent air he had worn before. His beard bristled, his eyes blazed, and his thunderous bellow shook the room. An overwhelming presence erupted from the depths of his body—a killing intent so intense it seemed to pierce the marrow.
Perhaps all those years of dissipation and reckless debauchery had caused many people to forget one thing: Pompey Gattuso was the head of the Gattuso family, a hybrid who could draw a blade and kill without hesitation.
Pompey knew he should not be acting this way.
He had understood from a very early age that anger served no purpose. But what father could remain calm upon hearing that someone intended to subject his own son to the ultimate humiliation?
“Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale!”
Pompey drew deep breaths, deliberately making each one audible. Only after quite some time did he once again reveal his cynical smile.
“What’s the matter? Have you decided that the Hybrid Sovereign isn’t powerful enough, so you’re preparing to switch over to the Magnetic Field Rotation system? Are all the preparations you made before this going to be thrown away?”
“Of course not,” Frost replied. “As we can see from Angers, the Magnetic Field Rotation system does not conflict with the Hybrid Sovereign. Since that is the case, if we wish to obtain the greatest power, then naturally we must advance along both paths at once. There is an old saying in the East: you should never put all your eggs in one basket.”
“Oh, I see.”
Pompey nodded, wearing an expression of sudden enlightenment.
“Then where are we supposed to find Oga and Haifu from the foundational realm? Let me make one thing clear first: I’m a perfectly ordinary heterosexual. I have no resources in that area.”
“Oh, I understand now.”
Pompey suddenly clenched his right hand into a fist and struck his palm.
“The Gattuso family is omnipotent, so you found suitable candidates long ago. In that case, why did you call me here? Why not simply do whatever you please?”
“After all, everything is for the sake of the family.”
“I’m sure Caesar will understand as well. He eats from the family and uses the family’s resources, so naturally he’ll understand the family’s wishes.”
“Head of the family, you seem to have misunderstood something,” Frost said. “The ultimate humiliation does not necessarily require an exact imitation. In fact, the manga material mentions that, for Bai Cinan, Lan Tongtong’s final glance was the true and absolute ultimate humiliation.”
“And our situation with Caesar is different from Bai Cinan’s. Naturally, we do not need to copy it exactly.”
“So?” Hearing Frost’s explanation, Pompey visibly relaxed. His body, which had been leaning away from the back of the chair, slowly softened. “What exactly are you planning to do?”
“Caesar Gattuso. The finest bloodline we have awaited for a thousand years—the one chosen from a hundred, from ten thousand, from a hundred thousand.”
Frost continued, “From the moment he was born, we arranged everything for him. Originally, all he needed to do was follow the path we had laid out, and he would have obtained a brilliant and glorious future.”
“Unfortunately, he refused to obey. He stubbornly rejected our arrangements, unable to understand the family’s love for him.”

“Yes, the family’s love.”
Pompey sang the words in an elegant, almost operatic voice. To win over women, he had learned all sorts of strange skills; he was certainly not the useless fool outsiders imagined him to be.
“So radiant, so magnificent, so fervent—like the sun itself. Caesar, king of kings, sovereign above all kings!”
“But precisely because he rejected us, the conditions are now perfect for carrying out the plan,” Frost said. “He is so proud that he mistakenly believes the family means nothing to him.”
“Originally, we had plenty of time. We could have waited patiently for him to mature, waited for him to understand just how important the family was to him.”
“But we don’t have that time anymore, do we?” Pompey said. “You’re going to challenge the Magnetic Field Rotation system. I have no idea where you found such confidence, but then again, I am Pompey Gattuso. If I were merely Pompey, I would have gone over there and surrendered long ago.”
“Tell me what your plan is. I have to hurry back and organize the beauty pageant—tsk, Heaven help us. Still, it’s a blessing in disguise. I should enjoy myself as much as I can while I still have the chance.”
“We need you to take Caesar to several dangerous places prepared by the family.”
Seeing Pompey’s obvious impatience, Frost finally came to the point.
“He will rely on his own strength to overcome them one after another. In doing so, he will accelerate his growth while also cultivating his confidence.”
“And in the end, when the family decides the time is right, you’ll tell him that everything was arranged by the family? That he isn’t Caesar Gattuso at all—only Caesar, nothing more?”
Pompey shook his head.
“If I may speak frankly, that will only create a meaningless coward—a coward whose confidence has been completely destroyed. Are you trying to turn him into a walking corpse that obeys the family’s every command?”
“No. By then, we will be dead.”
Frost spoke with indifferent calm, as though he were not discussing his own life.
“We will die in Heaven, at the hands of a Dragon King, or perhaps at the hands of a hostile family. We will entrust him with the thousand-year dream of the Gattuso family. That will give him the most powerful source of motivation possible.”
“That is the ultimate humiliation we intend to give him.”
“And we believe that afterward, that stubborn, impossibly obstinate Caesar will finally grow into the King of Kings—the Emperor of the Earth.”
“Just as I thought. The people of the Gattuso family are all insane,” Pompey said. “A pack of madmen who dare to covet the highest throne. You’re even willing to stake your own lives?”
“The family loves every one of its members, and it expects each member to repay that love in equal measure,” Frost said calmly. “If we truly must sacrifice ourselves, then we will not retreat. There will never be a better opportunity. The Gattuso family’s thousand-year aspiration will be fulfilled in this generation.”
“All right.”
Pompey let out a deep sigh and met his younger brother’s eyes.
“I thought you were already insane enough before. I never imagined that after discovering the Magnetic Field Rotation system, you would become even crazier.”
“This is a mad world. Only the truly mad can seize the highest authority and become—Emperor!”
Frost’s voice was low and hoarse, yet his expression was solemn, like a priest chanting hymns in a church.
Pompey did not answer. Silence gradually filled the room, until at last—
“Knock, knock, knock!”
The door was struck three times. From outside came the voice of Percy, the family secretary.
“Urgent report.”

“Come in,” Frost said calmly.
“Well, well. I suppose I’ll leave you to your work. I should get back to America and organize the beauty pageant.”
Pompey gave an awkward laugh and turned toward the door. Just before stepping out, however, he stopped.
“I’ll help you. But only this once.”
Bang!
The door slammed shut with such force that it seemed to vent all the resentment in his heart.
After the door closed, the blond young man who had been standing outside slowly entered. Long bangs obscured his eyes, making his expression impossible to read.
“Ah!”
Step by step, he slowly approached the desk. A silent Word Spirit began to sing, and a small space that completely rejected the outside world gradually took shape.
“Percy, what happened?”
“We just received intelligence—”
The radio left outside the room slowly began broadcasting an audio recording that had been prepared in advance. Yet inside this small space, sealed off from the outside world, Frost was discussing matters with Percy that Pompey absolutely could not be allowed to know.
“It failed,” Frost said. “Then we can only implement Plan B. Percy, you know what to do, correct?”
“Yes.”
The blond young man’s voice was gentle, but his words were colder than ice.
“Yes. At the appropriate moment, I will capture Caesar and take him to a secret place unknown to anyone. There, I will give him his final trial. If necessary, I will also kill Pompey Gattuso at the same time.”
“The ultimate humiliation.”
Frost sighed.
“Head of the family, you still underestimate the madness of the Gattuso family. If we are going to do this, then we must do it perfectly. We must have—everything.”
