Chapter 32: Becoming the Asura, Turning the Whole Arena Upside Down
When she first saw the Maybach, Guan Ya thought it was someone from Huang Guojie’s side coming to seek revenge. But the people who stepped out of the car were two women so stunning that it was impossible to look away.
Meng Ziyi, draped in a blue stepmother-style dress, exuded a dazzling allure. The outline of her delicate bosom was tantalizingly visible, her slender waist accentuated her figure, and her rounded hips were perfectly shaped and lifted. In contrast to Meng Ziyi’s sultry appearance, Shen Miaoyu wore a yellow suit that was far more dignified. A matching belt cinched at her waist, highlighting her graceful curves and lending her an air of elegance.
Both women had their own unique style and bearing, but there was no denying that both were the kind who would leave any man utterly captivated. In truth, it wasn’t just men—even Guan Ya and Jiang Yunqi found themselves momentarily dazed. They were beautiful themselves, but compared to these women, youth seemed their only remaining advantage. As for Roman, she was utterly outclassed, feeling as though she didn’t even belong in the same league; she even began to wonder why she was there at all.
As the two women approached, Jiang Yunqi nervously clung to Chu Fei, as if afraid someone might snatch him away. Guan Ya appeared calm on the surface, but inside, she too felt a strange tension. A woman’s social intuition is rarely wrong—these two had their eyes locked on Chu Fei from the moment they arrived; they were definitely here for him!
Meng Ziyi stopped right in front of Chu Fei, sweeping her gaze over the other three women before speaking with bold, unrestrained words. “Man, are you planning an orgy? How about including me?”
Roman immediately took a step back, making it clear she was just a bystander. Shen Miaoyu, standing behind Meng Ziyi, commented sardonically, “You work fast, don’t you? You’ve picked up so many pretty girls in just one night?”
“Chu Fei! Who are they?” Jiang Yunqi asked, clearly displeased.
Guan Ya folded her arms across her chest. “Care to explain?”
Chu Fei, unruffled, replied slowly, “And you are?”
At this, all four women were momentarily stunned. Meng Ziyi grew anxious. “Little junior brother, I’m your third senior sister! You haven’t forgotten me, have you? Don’t tell me you’ve lost your memory!”
“President Meng, calm down. He’s just trying to change the subject,” Shen Miaoyu interjected with perfect clarity.
Chu Fei sighed deeply. “Sometimes, women really are too clever for their own good.”
“So do you know them or not?” Jiang Yunqi lost her patience.
“I was trying to pretend I didn’t,” Chu Fei shrugged, spreading his hands. “But I failed. How awkward.”
His candor left them speechless.
Roman thought to herself, This guy really dares to say anything—and somehow, he’s sincere about it!
“Seriously, why are the two of you stirring things up here?” Chu Fei fired back first, his tone disgruntled. “Aren’t you just here to make things more difficult for me?”
“I didn’t want to come; President Meng insisted,” Shen Miaoyu promptly passed the blame to Meng Ziyi.
Meng Ziyi replied, “Don’t be ungrateful. I only came looking for you because you were out so late and still hadn’t come home!”
“Didn’t I tell you I wasn’t coming back tonight?” Chu Fei said angrily. “Now how am I supposed to explain this to them? They’ll definitely think I’m some heartless bastard playing with other people’s feelings, getting entangled with the two of you!”
After Chu Fei’s outburst, Jiang Yunqi asked weakly, “Isn’t that... the case?”
“What kind of thing is that to say!” Chu Fei turned to her. “She’s my senior sister, literally. What could there possibly be between us? Why do you always assume the worst? Can’t men and women just be friends? Huh?”
“And what about her?” Guan Ya pointed at Shen Miaoyu.
Chu Fei answered deliberately, “She’s my woman, all right?”
Shen Miaoyu hurriedly distanced herself, “I most certainly am not! I just came with President Meng!”
Chu Fei had expected her to deny it, and seized the chance to lash out. “See? She’s just my senior sister’s best friend. You can’t just suspect something improper between us just because she’s pretty!”
“You’re impossible! What’s next—if I pass a female dog on the street, are you going to believe there’s something unspeakable between us?”
“I, Chu Fei, am a man of integrity. Why do I seem so cheap in your eyes?”
Hearing this, Guan Ya realized she may have misjudged him. Seeing how angry Chu Fei was, she hastily said, “That’s not what I meant. I was just curious, that’s all.”
As for Shen Miaoyu, she looked utterly aggrieved. Chu Fei’s words—well, it felt like half a compliment and half a veiled insult, without ever being direct.
“Forget it, why bother explaining so much?” Chu Fei snorted. “It’s not like you’re my girlfriends. Even if something did happen between them and me, what’s it got to do with you?”
Though his words sounded harsh, the more you considered them, the harsher they sounded. But it was also the plain truth, and that was Chu Fei’s confidence.
A love triangle? I’ll just become a force of nature and blow the whole scene apart!
“You know, you’re right. I did overstep,” Guan Ya admitted, persuaded.
Jiang Yunqi immediately called out to Meng Ziyi, “Third Senior Sister, I’m Jiang Yunqi! You know me, right?”
Meng Ziyi had originally assumed Chu Fei was out for a fling, which was why she’d brought Shen Miaoyu along to disrupt him. But when she heard Jiang Yunqi’s name, she realized this was Chu Fei’s fiancée, and that he was only associating with her to change his fate.
She felt a little embarrassed. “I thought he was out fooling around. I didn’t realize he was with you. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have come!”
With those words, the crisis was finally resolved.
Only Shen Miaoyu stood frozen on the spot. Can’t you all see it? He’s manipulating you, he’s playing mind games—he’s gaslighting you! This stormy confrontation drew to a close thanks to Chu Fei’s masterful maneuvering.
Secretary Jin, watching from the car, was utterly riveted. She thought even soap operas weren’t this dramatic.
—You really do know how to serve up the drama!
With both Shen Miaoyu and Meng Ziyi present, Chu Fei no longer had any reason to linger. But there would be time in the future; there was no need to rush. After arranging rooms for Jiang Yunqi and the others, he reluctantly left with Meng Ziyi and her companion.
Once they were home, Meng Ziyi turned to Shen Miaoyu. “I need to return to the capital for a few days to handle some matters. The Wanlicheng project is yours—have you decided which local family to partner with?”
“I want to work with the Shen family,” Shen Miaoyu said, looking at Chu Fei a little awkwardly. “What do you think?”
Though she’d left the Shen family, it was impossible not to have feelings for them after so many years. Such a good project—naturally, she wanted to support her own family. After all, family is family.
Chu Fei understood. “I think you’re an idiot, but do whatever the hell you want. One thing, though—you can’t let the Shen family know it was you who helped them.”
“Why not?” Shen Miaoyu asked, puzzled.
Chu Fei replied with annoyance, “Are you really that dumb? Isn’t it obvious? It’s so you can see their true colors for yourself—otherwise, how will you let go?”
Meng Ziyi immediately grasped his meaning and instructed Secretary Jin without hesitation. “Let’s start building momentum. In a week, when we announce the founding of Chu Group, we’ll also reveal the new partner.”
Business concluded, Chu Fei returned to his room. He glanced at the untouched black box, considering that perhaps it was time to test it out...
Meanwhile, in a suite at the Longcheng Hotel, Shen Linglong was pinned beneath a young man, who was moving with relentless vigor.
“Young Master Meng... no... no... don’t stop!”
