Chapter 28: The Power of the Explosive Fist, Annihilation!
The eyes of the Gale Wolf King were locked onto Xu Han, unmoving. It had not expected that so many of its subordinates could not deal with this human! With a low growl, it leapt towards the two wolves under control. In an instant, those two subordinates were torn to pieces!
Slowly, the Gale Wolf King turned its gaze back to Xu Han, murderous intent flooding its cold eyes. Xu Han casually clapped his hands. “Finally couldn’t hold back, huh? Come, let me see what strength a wolf king possesses.”
The Gale Wolf King seemed to understand Xu Han’s words. It growled again, the winds swirling around its body and coalescing into three sharp, azure blades. The wind blades seemed to slice the very air itself. In the next moment, with a sharp whistle, the blades shot toward Xu Han in a triangular formation.
Xu Han raised his hand casually. A fireball appeared in his palm, swelling with the wind until it was the size of a human head in the blink of an eye. With a thunderous crash, the fireball collided with the wind blades. The blades pierced the fireball like silver needles, and the fireball swelled rapidly, exploding like a balloon and sending clouds of dust flying!
The Gale Wolf King stared ahead, its gaze icy. Just as it was about to check on the human’s condition, the swirling dust began to tremble. In the next moment, a figure burst through the haze like a cannonball, charging straight at it—Xu Han!
A trace of disdain flickered in the Gale Wolf King’s eyes. This foolish human dared to engage in close combat? Clearly, he had no idea how terrifying the wolf king’s strength truly was!
The Gale Wolf King crouched slightly, its forepaw tensed. In the next second, it launched itself forward, its massive body blurring into a shadow as it lunged at Xu Han.
Xu Han grinned, his body twisting to the side. He clenched his right hand into a fist, channeling all his strength into it. “Explosive Fist!”
His fist shot forward like a bullet, striking the Gale Wolf King with blinding speed. The wolf king showed no fear, its claws swiping out to grab Xu Han. Fist and claw collided.
A crisp crack resounded.
The Gale Wolf King’s claw bent instantly at a ninety-degree angle, the break spreading upward. Its entire forepaw was shattered by a single punch!
With a deafening crash, the Gale Wolf King’s massive body was flung like a broken kite, slamming into an abandoned building and leaving a huge crater in its wake.
The commotion was loud enough for everyone on the outskirts of Woodgrove Town to hear. Many other beast hunters, busy hunting monsters, turned toward the source of the sound.
“Which beast hunter team is fighting a leader-level monster? That’s a lot of noise.”
“If it’s this big, it must be one of the top ten teams. I envy them—when will we get to challenge a leader-level beast ourselves?”
“Forget it. Even a level 20 leader beast would chew through our whole team in seconds.”
“That’s true. By the way, did you hear about the golden leader deep in Woodgrove Town? Something’s been stirring lately.”
“I heard last night that the authorities sent people to investigate and issued warnings. All beast hunter teams are told not to approach the town center to avoid attacks.”

The wolf king whimpered, struggling to move and stand, but with one forepaw crippled, rising was almost impossible. It could not believe that this human could break its claw with a single punch!
Xu Han drew the Dragon’s Fang and stepped forward. “It’s about time to end this. I wasted plenty trying to find you—hope you drop something good,” he murmured.
The Gale Wolf King stared in despair at the descending blade. The dagger easily took the last drop of its health.
Xu Han glanced at his level. He had risen to level seventeen. Only three more levels to go before he could attempt the advancement quest. Completing it would not only allow further leveling, but also grant other rewards. Some people received equipment, others new skills, and some gained attribute points—each reward was different.
Xu Han pondered. As an SSS-class profession, surely his reward would be unique.
He examined the Gale Wolf King’s corpse. Two pieces of equipment had dropped: a wolf-hair bracer and a pair of wolf-hide boots.

But the warrior waved his hand and said loudly, “Impossible! The kid doesn’t even have a weapon—he’s probably just support for some hunter team.”
“He’s probably here to scavenge, like us, just got here a little earlier.”
