Ye Yuanzheng nodded in satisfaction. “Excellent!”

“You have three days to prepare.”

“I will select four more people. When the time comes, the five of you will form a team and enter the secret realm together.”

“Don’t worry. Drones will follow you the entire time.”

“If you encounter an irresistible danger, I will enter and bring you out myself, even if it means suffering serious injuries.”

Xu Han nodded.

This principal was truly considerate.

After chatting for a few more moments, Xu Han left the principal’s office.

After Xu Han departed, Ye Yuanzheng turned to Ye Die and said with a broad smile, “You’ve taken on an excellent student.”

“I think this little fellow will take your place in the future.”

Ye Die curled her lips. “My position is nothing special.”

“Your own position, however, may soon be in danger.”

Ye Yuanzheng chuckled. He was just about to continue questioning her when he suddenly noticed a faint strand of black energy curling around Ye Die’s white coat.

The smile vanished from his face at once, replaced by a grave expression.

He fixed his eyes on Ye Die and asked, “You’re still researching void creatures?”

Ye Die instinctively clasped her hands behind her back and turned her head toward the window.

Ye Yuanzheng said in a low voice, “Little Die, listen to me. Give it up…”

Before he could finish, Ye Die interrupted him.

“Impossible!”

She turned around, her dark-violet eyes fixed directly on Ye Yuanzheng.

Her fists were clenched tightly. Her gaze was filled with determination—and a trace of fury.

“I’m not like you! I won’t give up so easily!”

“No matter what, I will find my father and bring him back!”

“I will! I definitely will!”

With that, she turned and left on her own.

Hearing the door slam violently shut, Ye Yuanzheng let out a long sigh.

He turned toward the window and gazed outside, seemingly lost in thought.
