Chapter 141: Save Him
“Damn woman, how dare you shoot the boss? Once we’re out, we’ll sell you off to a brothel!”
“Damn it, where did this woman come from? Wait until the boss wakes up…”
The prison echoed with curses and angry voices. Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn had no time to pay attention to the commotion; she pressed onward, deeper into the facility. If she remembered correctly, she still had two stun guns left.
She stopped only when she reached a room resembling an interrogation chamber.
“Who’s there?”
Two Allied soldiers at the door aimed their guns at her.
Hearing the noise, Atimu emerged from inside, signaling his men, “Lower your weapons.”
“Who are you looking for? Are you in the wrong place?”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn responded calmly, “The person brought here tonight—where is he?”
Atimu lowered his gaze awkwardly. “Well…”
Her heart sank as she pushed past them into the room.
The scene inside stabbed at her eyes.
“Damn it, where did you come from? Hurry up and—bang!”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn pressed the trigger of her stun gun, hitting the man in the chest, and he instantly collapsed.
The others in the interrogation room raised their guns warily.
Atimu entered and gestured for them to lower their weapons. “That girl used a tranquilizer, no harm done.”
She rushed to Huang Pu’s side, looking at him covered in wounds and blood. A piercing pain gripped her heart.
Gently, she stroked his face. “Mr. Huang Pu? What happened to you? Please don’t scare me, okay? Ah!”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn couldn’t hold back her screams, tears streaming down uncontrollably. She had never felt such heart-wrenching sorrow before—as if her heart had been dissected.
The man had fainted from the electric shock.
His body was covered with horrifying whip marks; even his face bore a deep, raw wound exposing flesh beneath. His suit was ruined, stained with dark red gashes everywhere.
Mo Ten, Mo Jiu, and Ye Xin arrived and immediately saw the tragic scene.
“Master?”
“Master?”
“Sis?”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn clutched Huang Pu’s tattered clothing, panic-stricken. “Untie him quickly! How dare you administer private torture?”
Atimu ordered his men to release the shackles promptly. Mo Jiu carried the unconscious Huang Pu swiftly to find a doctor.
---
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn staggered to her feet, chasing after Mo Jiu’s group. Ye Xin followed closely behind.
Lin Yan and Gong Yi’s group tracked after them as well.
“Huang Pu?”
“Second brother?”
Lin Yan urged, “Quick, take him to the nearest hospital — Kezelu Fufeng Jike Hospital.”
Just then, Liao Ao arrived with Allied soldiers. “Follow me, I know the way.”
Mo Jiu, Mo Shi, and their team hastened with Huang Pu to the hospital.
Mo Er, Mo San, Mo Liu, and Mo Qi rapidly contacted specialists and led headquarters personnel rushing to Fufeng Jike Hospital.
Ouyang Mufeng and Gong Yi’s group followed by car.
Lin Yan stayed behind to handle the subsequent matters.
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn was about to get in a vehicle to go with them when a car stopped before her. Seeing who stepped out, tears of grievance and fear welled up.
Her voice trembled, “Grandfather…”
“What’s wrong, girl? Did they bully you? Tell grandpa…”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn trembled, grabbing Ye Hai’s clothing. “Grandfather, save him! Hurry and save him!”
Ye Hai embraced his precious granddaughter. “Alright, alright, calm down. First, tell grandpa what happened. Who’s in trouble? What’s going on?”
“Rǎnyǎn? Rǎnyǎn?”
“Sis?”
“Sister-in-law?”
Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn, exhausted, fainted. Her frail face was still stained with countless tears, her cherry lips devoid of color.
---
Late at night, eleven o’clock.
Fufeng Jike Hospital.
Like the Federation’s facilities, it was located outside the four nations.
Here gathered patients and medical experts from around the world, mainly serving the Federation’s members.
Ye Hai’s furious roar resounded uncontrollably outside the hospital room:
“What? Just recovering from a serious illness? Weak body? Malnourished? Who can explain to me what’s going on? Huh?”
The butler advised, “Master, please calm down. Sister is still inside.”
Ye Hai’s voice softened slightly but his temper remained intense. “Ye Xin, come here and tell me everything, word for word.”
Ye Xin, respectful toward Ye Hai, recounted the entire incident from start to finish.
Ye Hai exploded in rage, “That brat from the Di family—does he want to die? Fine, I’ll send him to meet the King of Hell tonight! What nonsense? How dare he bully my granddaughter? Is Shàngguān Xing a useless fool, letting his precious granddaughter suffer outside? Call him now and make him come here immediately!”
“Yes, yes, Master, calm down first. I’ll call your son-in-law right away.”
“I can’t calm down! I must ruin that brat from the Lin family!”
Meanwhile, Gong Yi, Ouyang Mufeng, and the others, following Lin Yan, arrived at Shàngguān Rǎnyǎn’s hospital room after she fainted.
Huang Pu was still undergoing emergency treatment.
At the door stood Mo Jiu, Mo Ten, Mo Er, Mo San, Mo Lin, and the headquarters team.
They wished they could tear themselves apart out of frustration.
“Old Ye,” Lin Yan and the others greeted respectfully.
Ye Hai waved them off. “How’s that brat?”
After hearing Ye Xin’s full account, he admired his grandson’s courage to offend the Federation on his behalf—someone responsible and bold.
Ouyang Mufeng’s worried eyes said, “Second brother is still in emergency treatment. He has dozens of large whip wounds and was electrocuted.”
Ye Hai was shocked. “What? Electrocution? Did the Federation really use private torture? Why?”
Lin Yan confirmed, “Because of the private arms cache.”
Ye Hai said, “I see. Those bastards will do anything for profit. That poor boy suffered for sure. I heard he sought medicine for the girl? So he joined the Federation because of her. I’m no reckless child myself—if you need my help, just say the word. I’ll do everything I can.”
Gong Yi said, “Old Ye, you’re too kind. We want to know how Rǎnyǎn is doing.”
“Granddaughter is fine physically, just weak from recovering from a serious illness.”
“Then we can rest assured. We’ll be upstairs. If you need anything, let us know. We’ll take our leave now.”
Lin Yan’s group returned to Huang Pu’s room, anxiously watching the red text on the wall.
At headquarters, they finally realized the tranquilizers used on the Allied soldiers caused no real harm.
But their own people—some dead, some gravely injured—this was a disaster.
What to do now?
Huang Pu’s status was beyond priceless; strict orders forbade unauthorized actions. Now, with a general from Country G, the Ye family of Country Y, and the Gong and Ouyang families from Country Z all involved, the situation had become a complete mess!
