Chapter 80: The Person I Found Is Her

The carriage slowed to a halt. Ji Yin, anxious about Ji Shaochen’s condition, leapt down and ran toward the manor. Wuyan lifted the curtain without a word and helped Xuanyuan Ji alight.

"Young master, those things you spoke of with Seventh Young Master…"
"She is my disciple now, part of Kunlun. There is no need to conceal such matters from her."
"You were born with the Divine Meridian of Heaven and Earth, destined to rule this world. But now you still seek the one who can unlock the Seal of Rivers and Mountains. Will this journey to Zhiyun Mountain truly yield anything? Will you find this person?"
Xuanyuan Ji gazed in the direction where Ji Yin had disappeared.
"Perhaps, I have already found them."
"Ah?" Wuyan was utterly bewildered. "Really? Young master, you’ve truly found them? Who is it?"
Xuanyuan Ji stepped forward without answering.
Wuyan scratched his head, still unable to fathom who this person might be.

Ji Yin heard from the steward that Ji Yun and several young masters were in the study, and hurried there.

"I’ll set out at once, and go to Zhiyun Mountain again," Ji Shaofeng said urgently.
"I’m going too!" Ji Shaolan chimed in.
"Fourth brother, let me go instead!" Ji Shaohua’s voice followed.

Baili Yuan was so worried she didn’t know what to do; her eyes were swollen from crying.

"Mother," Ji Yin called from the study doorway.

Baili Yuan saw Ji Yin and immediately stood up, rushing toward her. "Little Seventh, you’re back? Go and rest quickly. Your father and brothers have matters to discuss."

"I know what happened! Still no news from Third and Second Brother?" Ji Yin asked anxiously.

"Don’t worry, your second and third brothers will be fine. Steward, take the Seventh Young Master to rest."

The steward immediately stepped forward and ushered Ji Yin out of the study.

Ji Yin felt utterly frustrated—such an important matter, and she was not involved! She didn’t insist, but instead ran straight to where Xuanyuan Ji was staying.

"Master, do you know anything more about Zhiyun Mountain?"

Since Xuanyuan Ji had come for Zhiyun Mountain, he surely knew something about it. Ji Yin hurried to ask, hoping for useful information.

"Wait," Xuanyuan Ji replied softly, giving just one word.

"Wait? Wait for what?" Ji Yin was so impatient she could hardly keep herself from running straight to Zhiyun Mountain.

"Wait for Beiming Yu’s command."

"Why must we wait for his command?"

"Because the ruler’s order must not be disobeyed."

"To hell with your ruler’s order!" Ji Yin couldn’t help but curse.

Suddenly, there were urgent footsteps outside—the arrival of Ji Yun, coming to see Xuanyuan Ji.

"Xuanyuan Young Master, His Majesty has just issued a decree: tomorrow, we must head to Zhiyun Mountain! I must go to Tianyuan Sect now. I ask you to join us at dawn for the journey to Zhiyun Mountain."

"Very well," Xuanyuan Ji responded softly.

"I want to go too!" Ji Yin declared immediately.

Ji Yun glanced at her. "Don’t make trouble! Tomorrow, you’re not to go to Tianyuan Sect. Stay home and keep your mother company."

"But I—"

Ji Yun had already turned away, vanishing swiftly.

"I’m going!" Ji Yin’s brows were knitted tightly in frustration.

Wuyan strode in and bowed to Xuanyuan Ji, "Young master, I just learned that the Scarlet Feather Emperor has ordered Tianyuan Sect to select three hundred disciples, and two hundred more from the army, to accompany us to Zhiyun Mountain."

"Are there any requirements?"

"None of the spiritual cultivators below the third rank are allowed to go."

"Understood." Xuanyuan Ji nodded.

"Master, I want to go too!" Ji Yin said to Xuanyuan Ji.
