"Seventh Young Master, are you sure that talisman of yours can even produce a fart?" Someone pointed at the talisman in Ji Yin's hand, mocking her.

"Hahaha, I doubt it'll even manage that!"

Laughter erupted once more among the crowd.

Despite their ridicule, Ji Yin remained composed, unfazed by their jeers.

"Very well, today I'll demonstrate the power of the Thunder Spell for all," Chu Yu declared, taking his talisman and heading out into the courtyard.

The others quickly followed, filling the courtyard with onlookers.

Ji Yin and Chu Yu stood opposite each other, each holding a talisman.

"Seventh Young Master, do you remember saying that once everyone awakened, we could spar more often?" Chu Yu suddenly addressed Ji Yin.

"Indeed. How would you like to spar, Young Master Chu?"

"Today, let's attack each other with these talismans. What do you think?"

"Are you certain?" Ji Yin smiled.

It seemed the lesson Chu Yu received last time hadn't sunk in deeply enough.

The crowd listened to their exchange in bewilderment. Shouldn't Seventh Young Master be worried about the power of Chu Yu's thunder talisman? Yet, the one most confident was Ji Yin.

"I'm absolutely certain!" Chu Yu replied with conviction.

He refused to believe that the messy talisman in Ji Yin's hand could possibly work.

His thunder talisman, though, would surely strip Ji Yin to the bone!

"You've all heard me—the talisman I drew was done in passing. I don't know what power it might unleash. If Young Master Chu gets hurt, it's not my responsibility. You accept the terms, don't you?" Ji Yin asked again.

Mocking laughter rang out once more. She spoke as if it were real.

Chu Yu couldn't help but laugh, "If I accidentally hurt you, you'll accept the outcome as well, won't you?"

"Of course."

"Good! Winner takes all!" Chu Yu responded resolutely.

"You may go first," Ji Yin offered graciously.

Without hesitation, Chu Yu tossed his thunder talisman into the air, letting it hover. He channeled soul power into it, and the talisman floated toward Ji Yin.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion erupted, sudden and fierce.

Ji Yin smelled the acrid scent of smoke. Looking up, she saw thick clouds billowing above her head.

The blast startled everyone. Seeing Ji Yin enveloped by smoke, they were sure the talisman had injured her.

Chu Yu wasn't certain how badly Ji Yin was hurt, but this thunder talisman was the strongest he had ever drawn.

Ji Yin sensed, at the moment of explosion, a shield of soul power forming around her. The power came from Xuan Yuan Ji.

He had arrived long ago—she’d already sensed it.

But she hadn't expected him to intervene once more.

With the little demon present, a mere thunder talisman was no threat to her.

When the smoke cleared, Ji Yin stood unharmed, nonchalantly digging at her ear, her face full of disdain as she addressed Chu Yu, "Chu Yu, I told you, your skills are lacking! This thunder talisman is all noise and no bite—where's the killing power?"

Chu Yu's face turned pale with shock. Impossible!

He'd tested it on a tree before—a trunk thick as a man had been blown apart! Yet Ji Yin stood without a scratch.

The bystanders were equally dumbfounded.

How could this be the outcome?

The explosion had been so fierce, everyone thought Ji Yin would be left unrecognizable!
