Chapter 137: I Want...
"Shaofeng, Xiao Qi went nearby to relieve himself; go and find him at once!"
"Yes!"
Before Ji Shaofeng had taken a single step, another figure shot forward like a bolt of lightning. Wuyan was even more anxious than Ji Shaofeng. His master had entrusted him with the task of protecting the Seventh Young Master, yet he had been so careless as to lose sight of him! If any harm were to befall the Seventh Young Master, his only recourse would be to pay with his own life.
"Seventh Young Master!"
"Xiao Qi!"
Calling out urgently, the two men pressed deeper into the woods.
...
Ji Yin had been following the sound of water. She kept hearing it, yet she could not tell if it was real or merely an auditory hallucination.
"Great Demon! Wake up! Great Demon!" the Demon Cauldron cried out, anxious and desperate.
But Ji Yin seemed unresponsive. As she walked, she began to unfasten her clothes. Ahead, there truly was the sound of water; she longed to leap into it and wash away the scorching heat radiating from within her.
Before her stood a towering cliff, from which a waterfall cascaded into a deep pool below. Behind the waterfall lay a pitch-black cave, within which something glowed—like pairs of eyes staring out.
"Oh no!" The Demon Cauldron immediately surged out of Ji Yin's body. It could sense intense fluctuations of soul power in the vicinity—soul power that felt chillingly familiar.
Could it be such a coincidence? Had they returned?
"Great Demon, do not go any further!" The Demon Cauldron blocked her path, preventing her from advancing.
Ji Yin was left in only her snow-white undergarment; her shoes were long gone, and she stood barefoot on the grass. She continued to pull at her clothing, exposing her delicate shoulders. Her skin was as white as snow, shimmering with a faint, moist luster. Her hair had tumbled down, and even with her masculine, heroic features, she radiated a feminine softness.
Ji Yin shook her head, her consciousness finally clearing slightly.
"Little Demon, I feel so unwell."
"Those fruits must have been tainted! Great Demon, we must go back."
"Water... water..." Ji Yin’s focus was shattered once more by the sensations within her. Waves of dry heat and an intense, overwhelming longing threatened to crush her. She needed... but she did not know what it was she so desperately craved!
Suddenly, a massive silhouette emerged from the cave entrance behind the waterfall, swinging on a vine and landing in a flash.
"Great Demon, watch out!"
A streak of golden light cut through the air. The Phoenix Feather flew from out of nowhere, striking the white-furred ape directly. The vine in the ape's hand snapped, and it landed on the ground, fixing a ferocious gaze upon Ji Yin.
Ji Yin blinked her hazy eyes, looking at the behemoth before her.
"What the hell!" She shook her head violently, her mind clearing a fraction more. She raised her hands to form a seal, and in an instant, the Phoenix Feather transformed into a feathered fan in her grip. But the moment she grasped the fan, her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground.
The Demon Cauldron: "..."
"I don't want to fight! I want..." She couldn't help but bite her lips. Her cherry-red lips looked as alluring as if they had been coated in honey. "I want... I want a man."
She finally understood what it was she craved most.
At the same time, more white apes began to emerge from the cave, one after another.
The Demon Cauldron: Damn it! Have we stumbled into a den of white apes? These apes are far more powerful than the ones we encountered before! It wasn't even certain if it could absorb such immense soul power.
